Elevating Mixed-Use Design with European Windows & Doors

Artful Way Hotel & Apartments, located in Asheville’s River Arts District, is a 63,000 SF mixed use development combining boutique hotel units, residential studios, and retail space above structured parking.
Designed by Laura Hudson Architecture and built in collaboration with Beverly Grant, the general contractor, the project balances contemporary design with functionality. Together, the architect and builder coordinated the building's overall layout, form, materials, and high-performance systems to maximize daylight, views, and circulation while referencing the neighborhood's industrial character through bold color accents and carefully selected wall finishes.

High-performance Eurostar windows and doors were installed throughout the building, playing a central role in both aesthetic impact and functional performance. These systems provide slim profiles, clean sightlines, and generous glazing, bringing in natural daylight, expanding views, and creating strong visual connections to the surrounding arts district. Thermal efficiency, durability, and weather resistance contribute to occupant comfort and long-term building performance, while the precision-engineered operation ensures reliability across every unit.

Manital handles complement the windows and doors throughout, combining elegant design, ergonomic performance, and lasting durability. From lift-and-slide doors to standard openings, these handles provide a seamless tactile experience that architects and occupants appreciate, while enhancing the overall visual harmony of the project.

A large circular window at the hotel lobby serves as a signature architectural element. Designed and crafted by Eurostar as a custom hybrid of uPVC and fiberglass, it combines thermal insulation, structural strength, and weather resistance, ensuring lasting performance in a prominent, highly visible location. Its distinctive shape demonstrates Eurostar's ability to deliver tailored fenestration solutions that meet both creative and functional requirements.
